Lessons Learned, 2017-18

1) Don't give out stress balls. Because in truth they're just toys, at least for most students. But also, word starts to spread that I'm giving out toys, and then everybody is asking me for a toy.

2) Don't give out candy. Again, word starts to spread that I'm giving out candy, and then everyone is asking me for candy.

3) Giving out prizes in groups. I want to continue doing this, but I need to rethink how I do this. Just the other day some students told me that it's not fair that "the bad kids" get candy from me while they don't.

4) Establish routines with students -- meet with groups and kids on my caseload the same day every week.
